When he's not spreading his magical talents across the family's tobacco farm, Asher isolates himself deep in the wildwoods of the Okefenokee Swamp.
When the Wesley family arrives during the heat of the South Georgia summer, Asher's uncle, Jacob Ganit, is dealing with the family's most bountiful harvest in decades. Though the land has changed due to Asher's influence, rejections of the family's gifts abound.
